Showcasing the Chamber and its Women Entrepreneurs Committee to Alcobendas’ business ecosystem

Eng. Oria Siahpoush, Secretary of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Iran–Spain Joint Chamber of Commerce, attended SUMMIT Alcobendas 2026, an event in Alcobendas, Madrid, focused on business growth, entrepreneurship, innovation and new opportunities for companies and startups.

SUMMIT Alcobendas and Alcobendas Emprende

SUMMIT Alcobendas is part of the city’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem and the Alcobendas Emprende programme, run by the Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas to support entrepreneurship, startup development and the growth and consolidation of local businesses. The ecosystem includes pre-acceleration and acceleration programmes, training, consulting and mentoring, entrepreneurship spaces and initiatives connecting businesses with innovation players.

The event brings together entrepreneurs, startups, companies, investors and innovation actors to share experience, explore new business and technology trends, and build connections between founders, firms and investors. Previous editions featured specialized sessions, practical workshops, startup–investor matchmaking and networking.

The 2026 edition focused on business growth and new opportunities, covering the future of business, technology and AI, company development and investment. Beyond training or speeches, SUMMIT Alcobendas is a platform for direct contact among companies, entrepreneurs, startups and investors.

Meeting with an Alcobendas city councillor

During the event, Ms. Siahpoush met Ms. Mar Rodríguez Fernández, member of the Alcobendas City Council responsible for the Northern District, the commercial and business area, employment development, trade, consumer affairs and licences.

Ms. Siahpoush introduced the Iran–Spain Joint Chamber of Commerce as a private, non-profit organization and explained its mission to develop economic and trade relations between private-sector players in Iran and Spain. She also presented the Women Entrepreneurs Committee and its approach to building professional relationships, networking among women in business and creating opportunities for cooperation between women entrepreneurs of both countries.

Connecting with one of Madrid’s active ecosystems

Alcobendas has an organized structure to support entrepreneurship and economic development, and through programmes such as Alcobendas Emprende the city provides specialized services and spaces for entrepreneurs, startups and local businesses.

Beyond presenting the Chamber’s activities, this visit opened the way for mutual understanding with one of the most active business ecosystems in the Madrid region, a connection that may lead to further engagement with local institutions, entrepreneurship organizations, companies and professional networks.
