Spain’s National Day: A Message of Friendship and a Wish for Peace

On the occasion of Spain’s National Day (12 October), representatives of the Iran–Spain Joint Chamber of Commerce attended a reception hosted by His Excellency Mr. Antonio Sánchez-Benedito Gaspar, Ambassador of Spain to Iran, and his wife. During the event, the representatives conveyed the congratulations and best wishes of the Chamber’s members to their hosts.In his opening remarks, the Spanish Ambassador reflected on his nearly two and a half years in Iran, noting that he had never imagined he would have to temporarily close the Embassy. He concluded his address by expressing his hopes for peace and friendship throughout the world.

A Gift from Chamber Members to the Spanish Ambassador

To mark the occasion, members of the Joint Chamber presented the Spanish Ambassador with a framed Persian carpet, a symbol of Iran’s traditional craftsmanship and rich cultural heritage.In a message accompanying the gift, Dr. Mohammad Taheri, President of the Joint Chamber, extended his congratulations on Spain’s National Day and expressed his wishes for the prosperity and progress of the Spanish people, as well as for continued friendship, mutual respect and cooperation between the two nations.The Spanish Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the gift and asked that his warm regards and gratitude be conveyed to all members of the Joint Chamber.
